It is my honor to welcome you a little bit closer to springtime and all the refreshing vibes that come with it!
If youโre in a part of the country that observes daylight savings time like me, this is a bananas week full of jet lag without the jetsetting, and that takes a heavy toll on our energy levels and routines.
Iโm not a fan of daylight savings time โ I think itโs antiquated and disconnects us further from our natural circadian rhythms โ but if we live in a zone that observes it, we have to deal, right?
Weโre also thisclose to actual springtime, and I know that many of us cannot wait. Weโre revving our engines, licking our chops, and growing more fidgety by the nanosecond.
Both of these things are placing increasing demands upon us, so this is my reminder to stay mindful and present with yourself. Ice Cube was wise to advise to โcheck yo self before you wreck yo self.โ
Keep a measured pace instead of charging full energy and speed ahead. Pause and breathe. This is still a transitional time that calls for gentleness. Itโs not quite spring and winter is still whispering its last chilly tales.
Get a little extra rest when you have time. Stay hydrated more than you think you need. Eat nourishing foods. Get soft in your heart and laugh robustly at all you can.
The time for high energy in nature will soon be upon us. Letโs not burn ourselves out before we get there.
With love in my heart and restful breath,
โ
